Why is spiritual awakening so painful?
Below are two excellent answers to the guestion posed by two diffferent authors Auorora Clawson and Nuno Desa, on the question "Why is spiritual awakening so painful?"
Aurora Clawson
We are energetic beings. When we begin to transition to a different frequency of thought and being, we must undergo a cleansing of beliefs, and long held perceptions of reality within us that contradict more expansive perception and our true nature. However, this is a cleansing, healing pain. When you own the pain, you have the authority to release it. The irony of pain is that when you resist it, you empower it. When you let it be, and accept it, you disempower it. It then can move through you.
Therefore, see the pain as passing through you. Release the pain into the light, and claim that you freely let go of old paradigms of thinking, believing and perceiving. This is the fire of transformation. It is the energetic, alchemical process that is referred to by the phrase: turning lead to gold. We are refining ourselves....forever. What we gain is not a temporary thing. The pain is passing. We are stronger than the pain. It is moving through It is moving through the pain that activates our higher mind/frequency/expansion of identity.
So spiritual growth is a rhythmic dance of joy and pain. We never go backwards. Sometimes it seems like we are suddenly where we were before, but we never go back to where we were before. It is a continual process forward. Don't identify with the pain. Just allow the sensations to pass through.
Relax, try to find things that make you laugh. Laughter and tears are both healing. Do what you love to do. Breathe deeply, as oxygen contains Prana, which is life force. Life force is stored in the body as a healing agent and life giving energetic. Be grateful for your truth beyond the pain, and the pain that allows the journey forward. Gratitude is powerful. Also remember that you have many beings in light that attend to your journey and assist you. You may not see them, but they hold you always in their presence. Also remember that as you heal yourself, you heal the world. We are all connected.
