Mind is Individual Soul is Not

Looking at this quote I am given askance at my old belief that soul is individual.
Pondering this the adage we are all one makes greater sense to me, I can feel it's meaning easier that we are all points of energy generating like individual power plants through our individual thoughts feelings and emotions, but all part of the great grid of universal soul.
